MHS Announces Leadership Team Changes

Magnolia Heights School is pleased to announce new members of its leadership team.

Mr. Curt McCain, formally of New Summit School in Jackson, will join the school as the new Secondary Principal and Academic Dean. Curt received his undergraduate degree from Delta State University, and his Masters and Specialist degrees in School Leadership from the University of Southern Mississippi. He previously served as teacher, coach, principal and administrator at Tri-County Academy, Central Hinds Academy and University Christian School, as well as Headmaster at Canton Academy and Carroll Academy. Curt and his wife Michele have two daughters, Taylor and Caroline.

Mrs. Kristi Hager, formally of Winona Christian School, has been named the new Secondary Guidance Counselor. Kristi received her undergraduate degree from Delta State University, and her Masters in Counseling Studies from Capella University. She previously served as teacher, counselor, principal and Headmaster at Central Holmes Christian School for 21 years prior to being named guidance counselor at Winona Christian School. Kristi and her husband, Paul, have three children, Dylan, Austin, and Alayna.

Mrs. Brooke Howell, formally the Academic Dean and Secondary Guidance Counselor, has been named the new Elementary Principal. Mrs. Howell has been at Magnolia Heights for four years. She received her undergraduate degree from Christian Brothers University and her Masters in School Leadership from the University of Mississippi. Mrs. Howell formally served as a teacher in the Senatobia Municipal School District and as an Assistant Principal in the Desoto County Schools. She and her husband Mark have two children, Will and Anna Lauren.

Mr. Bobby Bouchillon, who has served for the past four years as an Administrative Aide in the Junior High, has been named the new Junior High Principal. Mr. Bouchillon received his undergraduate degree from Delta State University and completed the MAIS Leadership Institute to earn his MAIS Leadership certification. Coach Bouchillon has previously served as a teacher and coach at North Delta School prior to coming to MHS. He and his wife Jennifer have three boys, Mac, Rush, and Zane.

Mr. Jim Patterson, who has served as Secondary Principal and Athletic Director, has been named Associate Head of School and Athletic Director. Coach Patterson has been at Magnolia Heights for 33 years as a teacher, coach, and administrator. He previously served as a teacher and coach in the Oxford City Schools and Lee Academy in Clarksdale. He and his wife Jean have two children, Karen Patterson and Lisa King, and two grandchildren.
